Come and visit us in Fell Lapland, Finland, Muonio. The area is surrounded by picturesque soft shaped fells, hundreds of fresh lakes, rivers and streams. Muonio river, which is the border line between Finland and Sweden, is the longest free-floating river in Europe and good for fishing salmon or whitewater rafting. According to researchers, we also have the happiest people in Finland who breathe the cleanest air in the world! PuroPuro is based in a beautiful village, Torassieppi, 16km from Muonio and about 50km from Levi and Ylläs.
Pallas Yllästunturi National Park, next to our home, is the most popular and one of the biggest National Parks in Finland. It offers great terrain to hike, bike and paddle, as well as wilderness huts to have breaks.

BY CAR: Muonio is located on route E8, which spans the distance between Turku in the south to Kilpisjärvi in the north. From Rovaniemi, you can drive along route 79 and admire the amazing views on your way. The distance between Helsinki and Muonio is about 1000km.
BY TRAIN: Take a train to Kolari and continue by bus or take a shuttle taxi that takes you to Muonio in an hour. Night trains and trains with car-carriages are also available. Another good option is a train to Rovaniemi and the remaining 230km by bus to Muonio. You can also rent a car at Kolari railway station from Scandia Rent.

BY PLANE: Finnair is operating to Kittilä International Airport which is about an hour drive away from Muonio. From Kittilä airport you can take a bus or a shuttle service taxi (book 24 h before at muoniokt(at)hotmail.com) to Muonio. Renting a car is also a good option, just remember that driving in winter on snowy roads might take little more time for first timers. There are direct flights to Kittilä, for example, from Helsinki, London, Paris, and Munich. It is also possible to fly to Rovaniemi (230km away) and Tromsø (Norway, 365km away).
